FireMIP

Fire Model Intercomparison Project

The Wildfire Climate Impacts and Adaptation Model (FLAM) will contribute to the Fire Model Intercomparison Project (FireMIP). This collaboration provides an opportunity for FLAM to engage with the broader fire science community and contribute to the advancement of global fire modeling.

The Fire Model Intercomparison Project (FireMIP) is a global research initiative, launched in 2014, to advance the accuracy and understanding of fire models. Bringing together fire model developers and researchers, FireMIP aims to improve the performance of global fire models, enhance fire modeling accuracy, and reduce uncertainties associated with fire dynamics. By fostering international collaboration, the project contributes essential insights for climate adaptation, policy-making, and wildfire management.
